This multi-experience walkthrough retells Maleficent’s true story through Aurora’s narration, blending the worlds inspired by the classic Sleeping Beauty (1959) and the live-action Maleficent (2014). Guests journey from the bleak Forbidden Mountain through an enchanted forest that melts into interactive LED floors which ripple with each footstep, guiding them into the glowing Moors, a realm of fairies brought to life with lighting and water projection effects. Designed to immerse guests in the emotional heart of Maleficent’s backstory, the experience reveals her misunderstood bond with Aurora in a new light, whilst allowing guests to explore independently and interact with the magical and luminous world around them. It also expands on the projection and water effects featured in existing nighttime theme park spectaculars, but makes them accessible to guests at any time of day, under any weather conditions, 365 days a year.
